At the conclusion of a sold out Summer Camp Showcase at Neumos on July 31st, “Girls Rock! Seattle” announced its official name change to Rain City Rock Camp for Girls.  The decision to change the name was made in early 2010 by the Board of Directors in response to another local organization with a similarly named program.

The name “Rain City Rock Camp for Girls” was chosen from two potential names voted on by Summer Camp participants in July 2010.

We saw this as an exciting opportunity to give the girls we serve ownership over the look and feel of our organization going forward.  As a young non-profit with increasing momentum, this was the perfect time to make a change that we're confident will be better for us and the non-profit community as a whole.
